STEM K-12 Opportunity – Career Day Guest Speakers

We invite the members of DFW SIM to participate and give back to our community.  This an opportunity to share and grow the thoughts and minds of our future technologists

Schimelpfenig Middle School of Plano ISD is planning its Seventeenth Annual Career Day for Friday, October
21, 2022.

They have two times slots for presenting.  You only have to present in one time slot but are welcome to consider presenting during both timeslots.

• 1:50pm-2:40pm
• 8:25am-9:15am

We need to confirm interest by Thursday, October 13th.

We are looking for parents and other members of the community who would like to come to classrooms virtually or in person and talk about their careers. The purpose of this program is to give our students a better idea of the world of work as well as an understanding of some of the different choices that will be available to them as they plan for their future.

Volunteers for sixth, seventh and eighth grades classes will be utilized. Each class period is approximately 48 minutes; however, you can present for 30-35 minutes and allow the remainder of the period for questions.
